Introducing the new line up…
Black Saison 5% and Big Hop Little Beer 3.6% have gone down a storm, so we’ve decided to keep them on.
Black Saison was hit pubs in November 2014 and proved to be a keeper from the outset. It’s Joe’s favourite new beer; a complex hybrid of a beer and yet easy to quaff a few as well. Perfect on keg.
Big Hop Little Beer 3.6% – going along with our no-nonsense approach to naming beer, it really ‘does what it says on the badge’…*narrowly avoids lawsuit* and drinkers love the fact they can session on this beer down the pub and yet get those big hits of fruit flavour. It has been a stalwart this winter at Mitchells & Butlers and Nicholson’s Pubs across London.
This beer combines great British and Belgian beer heritages to make a beer that takes elements from British stouts and
Belgian farmhouse saisons. Dark and full of roasted malt flavours, with a smoothness from the high wheat content, delicately hopped with European hops adding a hint of floral hop, and then fermented with a saison yeast filling the beer with complex funky fruity flavour that complement the rich malt notes.
A golden malt body provides the base for this low abv burst of hop flavour. Columbus, Nugget and Amarillo combine for a fruit-filled aroma and flavour, with a moderate lingering refreshing finish.
