Co-owner, Head Brewer and Managing Director
Joe
Joe started brewing at 21, the youngest brewer in the country at the time. He cut his teeth on traditional ales at Penpont Brewery, then set up Firebrand to brew the bolder, more modern beers he actually wanted to drink, using the best ingredients from around the world.
When he's not at the brewery, Joe is out exploring Cornwall with his family or running. Plenty of running.

Stephen
Stephen started Penpont Brewery with Joe in 2008, in a converted milking parlour on his farm, and has been brewing ever since. After years of farming he brought the same hard-working approach to the brewhouse, where he brews six times a week alongside his two dogs.

Richard joined Firebrand in 2020 after more than 20 years at Sharp's, and prides himself on lasting relationships with customers across Cornwall. A real ale and Wolves fan, he also loves fishing and his garden.

Firebrand's American influence, from Denver, Colorado. Phil runs our day-to-day marketing and is to blame for any Americanisms on our socials. Broncos fan, beach lover, dog owner.
