Joe
Co-Owner and Head Brewer - Joe started brewing in 2009 at which time he was the youngest brewer in the country at 21 years old. He started off with Penpont Brewery which focused on traditional ales, but in 2013 he wanted to brew a more modern style so created Firebrand Brewing Co. Passionate about brewing a high-quality product, Joe has instilled the philosophy of using the best ingredients from around the world to create Firebrand’s beers.
When he’s not at the brewery Joe loves spending time outside exploring Cornwall with his family or on his paddleboard.
Stephen
Co-Owner and Brewer - Stephen started Penpont Brewery with Joe back in 2009 from a converted milking parlour on his farm and has been the main brewer ever since. What started out as a passion project after years of farming, Steven’s brought his hard-working background to the brewery where he brews 6 times a week alongside his two dogs.
Ben
Sales Manager - Ben joined Firebrand in 2016 as a production assistant where his main job was to label all of the bottles from inside the back of an old lorry. A true “work your way to the top” story, Ben has done everything from delivery driving and production to online order packing and now Sales Manager.
A Middlesbrough fan and lover of all things 90’s football trivia, Ben also likes to collect records and spend time with his family.
Richard
Head of Sales - Richard joined Firebrand in 2020 after spending over 20 years at Sharps. Bringing a huge amount of experience to Firebrand, he prides himself on building lasting relationships with customers around Cornwall. A lover of real ale and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Richard also enjoys fishing and spending time in his garden.
Jack
Production Assistant - From stacking pallets to labelling cans, Jack is John’s right hand man around the brewery. A local guy, Jack is from right around the corner of the brewery and always brings a big smile on his face to work every day.
Phil
Head of Marketing - Firebrand’s American influence, Phil is from Denver, Colorado and moved to Cornwall 6 years ago. Managing the day-to-day marketing activities around the brewery, he’s the reason for the accidental Americanisms on our social media pages.
A huge fan of the Denver Broncos, Phil likes spending time at the beach with his dog and family.
Kez
Taproom Manager - Meet Kez, our vibrant Taproom Manager! With a background in Fine Art, Kez infuses her creative flair into everything she does, from crafting captivating reel videos to curating visually stunning content for our social media platforms. You can find her behind our bar and running her own local art business, showcasing her talent and passion for creativity beyond the Taproom walls.
